One thing that I did notice after I took welbutrin for years and then swapped off was that it greatly exacerbated my anxiety. Which I was aware of at the time. I wish that when I started it I was warned to watch for that side effect but I had a doc who also believed welbutrion for 8 months could cure depression and you'd come off it so what can you do

congrats on starting ur medication journey!! i’m on sertraline and wellbutrin and it’s a godsend. trying to do chores or self-care tasks used to make me feel exhausted and irritated, on top of a consistently poor mood. i was on prozac for a while and it helped with my mood, but only when i started taking wellbutrin did i actually feel motivated and fulfilled by life again. sometimes medication is necessary to put your nervous system in a safe place to learn healthy coping skills. im rooting for you 🩷

you're doing amazing. I hope this continues to work really well for you. be careful. reach out to trusted people if you're having trouble for a second opinion on thoughts or feelings. You have done all the research and you are clearly putting in the work. My guess is for the people who are worried (and I'm one of them-i like you) is so often PTSD or complex trauma are misdiagnosed as something that needs meds. if there is trauma in your past perhaps hedge your bets and follow accounts that address that. my favorite is Dr. Doyle but I'm sure, if applicable, you'll find someone that resonates with you. hope things continue to get better Paige. ❤️🩹
