TSITP, Heated Rivalry, TABILB these book - series -movie adaptations were all successful with little to no changes. I know they can’t be a copy paste from the book and they have to do some changes for the movie/series but ugh cmon that was the magic of it all. Hands off rule is toxic now? Yes. But its a book. Its a fiction. I think we are all adults and we can discern already whats right from wrong. The casting for off campus (for me) IS PERFECT!! But why so many changes huhu

minor changes in book adaptations make sense but i’m sorry there can’t be good enough reasons for why certain things were changed, whether they be things that are key parts to hannah and garrett’s story/relationship to changing logan’s entire family story ??

Don’t love how Belmont was like “well I don’t think I’ll stay until I’m a grandpa, that’s where the books are now.” I get it it’s not gonna be like greys anatomy with 25 seasons. However season one just dropped and it already sounds like he’s got one foot out the door of the franchise. Like this show could have so many spinoffs and he’s already like ya I won’t appear in those. Idk. Don’t like it.

I mean heated rivalry didn’t change much and everyone loved it so idk why they had to change so much at the end. I found it annoying to watch but maybe cause I’m a book lover I notice the difference so much. But in my opinion book adaptations literally have a book for reference to make it exactly what the fans want and when they say they need to change it I don’t necessarily agree. The minor changes I didn’t mind but they changed the whole ending. To me the book and the show are very seperate things

I’m scared of what Dean and Allie’s season is going to look like now though. This season already showed half of The Score, and her hooking up with Davenport is a huge deviation (particularly considering Allie’s guilt about hookups). Also Dean hates Hunter now…?

I love that both show and book exist at the same time and can be enjoyed separately, the original is right there forever meanwhile the changes in the show made certain topics so much more meaningful and the heavy situation were handled beautifully. I loved it so much 💙 Garrett girlie forever
