Yesterday they were just dumped puppies trying to survive and learning that humans could be kind. The next day, they learned just how cruel a human could be. I keep watching that little tail wag. 😭 I keep thinking about how close we were to getting them somewhere safe. How they had absolutely no idea what was coming. Less than 24 hours. That’s how quickly a happy little tail wag became a video I may never be able to watch without crying. I am so damn angry at how cruel humans can be. 😭💔 I drove through there again today and walked through those woods searching for that missing baby, squalling with every step I took, calling and hoping somehow I’d see that little face or that tail wagging again. My heart is absolutely shattered. I’m hurting so bad over these babies, and I cannot understand how anyone could look at something so innocent and choose cruelty. 💔 To the little one still missing: I haven’t forgotten you. I still hope somehow, somewhere, you got away. I hope you’re hiding. I hope one day I get to see that little tail wag again. And for the ones who survived, I’m going to do everything I possibly can to make sure their story doesn’t end here. They deserved better then.
