I think it’s a bit far fetched to say languages are dead. Some high level order languages do their best to limit abstraction but they’re not MORE adopted because of it. 2026 seems to be the year of context layer like RAG and skills before it, but to think like an “engineer” when you can’t explain why string += otherString is bad (something that Claude produces almost always), no amount of intent would solve that at least not soon.

Love this. I’ve been using Claude and codex to help BIMify rhino 3D and give complex geometry states outside of just being a surface. Is it a threshold, it’s a column, are these stairs etc. and the #1 thing I keep running into is I get so overwhelmed with the possibilities that scope of the project gets bigger and bigger and then all the sudden I’m in mush of nothing. It’s been amazing with writing scripts for grasshopper and algorithmic design but this new adventure is both amazing and dumb. Idk.

YES YES YES!!!! This is exactly what I tell people. You think you know a vision/intent until you tell an agent and you're surprised you do not get what you want and blame the agent. Before working on my current project (documented on my profile) I never knew a lick of code. Now? Because my vision is surgically precise and clear I'm able to get results that I did not think were possible due to me not knowing code.

ok. so I am a chaos neurondivergent person in stem. I can write reqs all day long at work, but claude is personal to me. and my personal life is a million ideas firing at once that pass through the night. I want to do everything everywhere all at once. I need claude to follow me around catching every thought I shed and organizing it for action. the context isn't hard after that. it is the capture and follow through.
