Before that, I was a stay at home mum, constantly jumping from one thing to the next, trying to make extra money but never really getting anywhere. I just wanted to be able to say yes to soft play, coffee dates, little days out… without doing the mental maths every time I tapped my card. But instead, I was stressed.

Overwhelmed. Always budgeting.
Always second guessing what I could afford.
Avoiding plans so I didn’t have to say no. And I remember thinking: “This isn’t what I wanted.” Then everything shifted. Our mortgage was due to increase by £600, and we had no clear way of covering it. At the same time, I was watching other mums online living the life I wanted…
Slow mornings, days out, holidays, making memories. And I kept asking myself: Why does it work for them, but not me? It wasn’t fear. I just didn’t know where to start. So instead of watching… I started. I stopped telling myself I wasn’t capable.
I stopped waiting to feel confident.
I stopped waiting for the “right time” (because it doesn’t exist). And I just took the first step. That decision changed everything. Since then, the business I started from nothing has generated over £100k. I have the stay at home mum life I always imagined. I’m present with my kids.
We can afford the days out, the holidays, the extras.
There’s space to breathe financially. And I don’t wake up feeling stressed anymore. If I can do this, with rising bills, three children, no experience, and a lot of self-doubt… So can you.
