"The footage of him going wild with a knife and slashing a boat with emergency workers on it in the Channel is disgusting." Hours after slashing a rescue boat with a knife, Danny Tommo has put out a new video saying the only way to “win” is for “calm, peaceful, non-violent" action. On Tuesday, Tommo, real-name Daniel Thomas, live-streamed himself approaching a dinghy in the Channel and shouting at rescuers that they were in “English waters” before slashing and stabbing the boat with a knife. Thomas, who has previously been jailed for attempted kidnapping, appeared to have endangered the life of a rescuer who he is heard urging, “get off the boat... you’ve got time to get off the boat”. The rescuer bordered the empty dinghy to secure it when Thomas tried to sink it, something Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary are now investigating. Migrants had spent some 33 hours in a small boat and had to be moved from a RNLI lifeboat to a Border Force cutter in an effort to avoid Tommo. Lifeboats had been sent to collect about 60 passengers of a migrant dinghy which had departed from the coast of Normandy on Monday morning. In a video posted on Wednesday, Patriot Platform founder, Tommo, said yesterday was a “sad day for the country” as he questioned the assistance migrants are being given to enter the UK. Tommo said he thought the “pressure worked in some respects, yesterday” but was disappointed that “we ran out of fuel and ended up having to go back to the shoreline. The video ended with Tommo, saying, in order to “win” protesters needed to “calm, peaceful and non-violent". Stand Up To Racism wrote on X on Tuesday: "Danny Tommo already has a conviction for knife crime. The footage of him going wild with a knife and slashing a boat with emergency workers on it in the Channel today is disgusting."
