@ruthrmicallef: Is it just me, or have we completely lost the ability to distinguish a ‘transformation’ from a tragedy? 🥀 It’s rather harrowing to look back at Catherine O’Hara’s final red carpet and realise how much we missed. In an era where dramatic changes are instantly labelled as "trends" or speculated upon as "aesthetic choices," we’ve seemingly developed a collective blind spot. We were so busy discussing the silhouette that we failed to see the person. Whilst the world was occupied with "the look," she was navigating a most profound battle for her life. It’s a stark reminder that a body is not a seasonal fashion statement, and "thinness" is not always a choice we should be applauding. We owe it to her legacy, and to each other, to start looking past the optics and lead with a bit more genuine empathy to our own bodies, and to others 🤍 #catherineohara #moirarose #cancerbattle @YSL Beauty @Son de Flor ✨ @ETERNAL MUSE @Ett_hem_london
Thank you for sharing this perspective! It’s such an important reminder to approach others with compassion, as we never truly know what someone may be going through behind closed doors♥️

it's so telling how we can't distinguish between thinness and cancer... we have lost the plot and it scares me

Terrifying how looking sick and malnourished has essentially become the new beauty standard, just thinking about all the teenage girls and young women like myself who this is directly contributing to body dysmorphia and disordered eating, just heartbreaking, rip Catherine O’ Hara ❤️
