My very first thing my statistics teacher in college said was how easy it was to manipulate statistics and then pretty much spent the entire semester teaching us just how to do that lol

they're probably ranking 18-19 year olds as children because a graduating senior can range from 17-19 depending on their birthday and if they started school late or were held back. I hope this helps.

Just as reference, the age 18-19 being included in school ages is because of the way America decides when children start school based off of birthday before or after Sept 1st and whether or not a child was held back or failed grades. So, there are routinely students of 18 and 19 yr olds as seniors graduating.
