@crave.melb: 🇦🇺 BEST MUSLIM FAMILY-RUN MALAYSIAN RESTAURANT IN MELBOURNE 😭🇲🇾 Found this hidden Malaysian spot near Springvale station and WHY is it sooo packed 😭 like genuinely full of Malaysians when we walked in so immediately I knew this place had to be legit. This place is called Warisan Secangkir (originally started as Ben Burgers) and it’s run by 3 Malay siblings 🥹 They actually started 4 years ago from a tiny food truck beside a petrol station in Springvale. Kak told me people used to look down on them back then… but now they’ve grown to 3 stores across Melbourne and honestly after trying the food I completely understand why. As a Malaysian living here, this is the type of food that instantly makes you feel at home 😭 The ayam penyet was sooo crispy and spicy, ayam percik super flavourful, and the curries?? Proper kampung-style comfort food that’s so hard to find nowadays. And honestly what I loved most was the atmosphere here. The shop is quite small and packed so sometimes you literally have to share tables with other people 😭 but weirdly that made it feel even more like home?? Ended up chatting and meeting new people there too HAHA. That’s the thing I miss most about Malaysia honestly. Food bringing random people together 🥹 AND the owners here are the sweetest 😻 I’ve never been called darling soo many times in one day before 🤣 🔖Warisan Secangkir 📍282 Springvale Rd, Springvale VIC 3171 📍108 Lygon St, Carlton VIC 3053 📍19 Ian St, Noble Park VIC 3174 . . . . #melbourneeats #melbournefoodie #malaysianfoodmelbourne #halalfoodmelbourne #springvalefood
