American elderberries are totally safe to eat off the plant and don’t require processing. Only European elderberries need to be cooked before they are safe to eat. You should not be planting European Elderberries they are invasive and not even as tasty

I set 2 potted of Elderberries against the fence while I was having outside repairs. Well I didn't move them for a while and now the roots have grown out of the pots and I can't move them! My neighbor is either going to be happy or upset.

I planted 5 this early spring, a 3 variety mix. They get plenty of sun and are growing vigorously! I water them a few times a week but it is very important that I also water my 2 year old Labs as I do it. The land sharks are the reason each plant has a wire fence around them, just in case.

I think they would be great in a forest that has erosion issues.Well, they may not produce as much.The way they spread would be excellent for anchoring the ground
