Hi! So every department is different with their policies… some departments have established specific training to search the opposite sex to avoid a complaint or sexual harassment etc… and those departments also allow for opposite gender to search as it’s shown on video… other departments have strict policies that state only the same sex can search/pat down. Sometimes if the citizen requests the same sex, depending on the shift work it is something that can be considered and done however not every case is the same and as long as officers do things as they were trained, it’s fine
