When your child asks you to show physical affection to their other parent it’s often very innocent. It’s important to keep your reaction and response light, simple, and happy! We don’t have to be dishonest to our children but it’s important we don’t make a big deal out of it or invalidate them. It’s also best to then divert your attention right back to your child. After he said this we went on to tell him how much we love him and how much we love giving HIM our kisses!
