If possible, we also recommend adding a few extra buffer days to your itinerary in case bad weather forces you to reschedule mountain activities or viewpoints. • Card is accepted almost everywhere in Switzerland, but we still recommend carrying a small amount of cash for unexpected situations. We experienced a few hidden gem cafés that only accepted cash. • Switzerland is EXPENSIVE! Especially parking and public transport. Before your trip, calculate whether a Swiss Travel Pass or Half Fare Card will save you the most money, depending on what you want to see and where you want to go. *It's very convenient to stay in either Zurich or the Interlaken area as it's very central and have relatively short driving distances to most areas and experiences in Switzerland.
