for alhaitham, he seems to hold paimon more close than the traveler themselves. if u check his birthday letters from YEARS back to this years, you see hes always worrying about paimons education, always sending her books, enrolling her in akademiya stuff, encouraging her to study and read more, etc... his letters really follow the "hello, this is how my life has been lately, paimon should really ________..., come check it out some of these days :)" pattern lmao, i find it adorable

All Sumeru cast coincidentally also has their lives figured out when we already meet them, has spouses even if game won't admit those are spouses and a lot of them has jobs in the gov structures of Sumeru so they don't really need our help that much. (People will tear Haikaveh, Cynonari and Candehyundarzad from my dead cold hands!)

unfortunately characters like them are becoming even more rare. it's like they're forcing a friendship that just doesn't make sense, they just met the traveller but they're already their best friend and trust them blindly

exactlyyy, and this is the reason i loved sm the dynamics and interactions with the Sumeru cast in general ! How the traveller was not necessarily treated as the main character of the room, but still treated as a friend of them

maybe we should have more characters like them lately it's too much characters (and mind you even female children) who go way beyond for Traveler and there's nothing wrong with that I personally do like little fan service but it became so much kor common (probably to sell characters even more) but I think we can enjoy characters even when they treat Traveler only just as friend and it's also more believable

It's easiest to remove the Traveler from the Sumeru Equation and that's a good thing. I can easily imagine the events of the story without the traveler. they'd struggle, but they would make it. Same with Liyue, actually. Even Fontaine, really. Mondstadt, Inazuma, Natlan and Nod-Krai center the Traveler so heavily and I hate it, they're all a slog.

Yes exactly!! That’s why I love Crewmeru dynamics, the Traveler is just a passerby, a friend, but still there’s other people that are more important than us. You can see that there are stablished dynamics from before we get to Sumeru. The strong connection we see is between them, not between Traveler-Character like in almost every other nation. That’s why I think Sumeru has one of the strongest (and realest) connections in their cast. I’m so excited to have them back next version 😭

I love the Sumeru cast so much for this. They’re all just friends who like to hang out and see each other. Like during Cyno’s second story quest Tighnari and Collei have the idea of going camping because they haven’t seen their friend in a while. None of the Sumeru cast try to use the traveler to do what they want because they’re a hero. They just treat them like their friend who shows up sometimes. It’s why they’re my favorite out of everyone else. It’s just normal

I love this about Furina too. In her story quest she didn't accept the invite because it was traveler asking, but because she loved theatre and being on stage. Before that, they barely kept in touch too

I genuinely love the relationship traveler has with the Sumeru cast. They're all very chill and genuine. They spent a decent amount of time together while working on saving Nahida and it shows in how they act with each other. They're friends.

I’ve noticed actually, what if this wasn’t a coincidence? This has happened on two occasions that I know of. Dottore pointed out the fact that the travelers affects everyone around them and suddenly changes them. Dottore’s a knowledgeable individual, Alhaitham and Kaveh have almost perfect grasp of Knowledge and Wisdom respectively and they all hail from Sumeru. Could the smartest in Teyvat be immune to the Interstellar ship’s matrix

This is something that drives me crazy in this game! It feels unnatural the way some of the characters talk to the traveler. I also dislike how paimon often emphasizes that we have friends in high places. Sometimes the traveler’s dialogue options are less than humble. It feels like the game tries very very hard to boost the players ego lol. Truly though, Sumeru cast friend group is the best, i love their relationships with the traveler, their banter, i like that they eat meals together and go camping for fun. I looved Kaveh’s hangout quest and the pyramid exploration event.

Honestly, I feel like Mondstadt Characters have the most reasons to treat the Traveller as the main character. Especially since Mondstadt also treated Collei as a Main Character and Varka as well. But even so, in Plagiarism they didn't ask for help, they had everything planned and ready and just gave us some work as to not interfere too much.
