The silent generation was the baby boomers parents not the boomers themselves. The silent generation gave birth to the boomers and they gave birth to the Gen X and millennials

silent generation is a separate gen and are from 1928 to 1945. Then boomers. then gen x ... there is a sub gen in there called xennials from 1976 to 1984 (i think), then millennial and so on. just to clarify. because boomers are definitely not silent lol
