I contact nap because it’s the only way my six month old will sleep during the day. But I’m made to feel I’m doing something wrong with it. 🤦🏻♀️. I enjoy my cuddles!!!

You make me feel better my partner keeps complaining I don’t put out 4 month old to nap but she doesn’t stay asleep during the day in her cot she wakes and then I have to start the process of getting her to sleep it feels counter productive, I do wish I had a bit more time with my arms free but I know I’ll never regret this. It makes me feel like I’m doing something wrong you make me realise I’m not I’m just doing what my baby needs

I co slept with my toddler till he was 2.5 and the new baby until 6 months. They kept waking each other up and I have to leave for work at 540 am. They started getting up with me at that hour and it’s been so hard to put the baby back down quick enough before work. What options do I have. I put my toddler in his own room these last two weeks so we’re working on that. But what to do with the baby now 😩

Your videos come up on my FYP all the time, and I find myself agreeing with every single word you say. It’s honestly so reassuring.
Before becoming a mother, I had this idea that I’d raise a baby who was completely independent and sleeping through the night, how wrong I was! Becoming a parent has made me realise just how deeply babies need us, and I almost feel embarrassed that I ever thought otherwise.
Now, I feed to sleep, part co-sleep from around 4am, contact nap, and basically do whatever it takes to make sure my 5 month old feels happy, safe, and comfortable. My mindset now is, she’s not going to be 18 and still feeding to sleep, so I’m going to soak up this tiny chapter of life where she needs me for absolutely everything 🥰

I let him sleep on me as that is the only way he can sleep longer (from 30 to 1,5hour), but people tell me that I need to nap training him as he is already 6 months and he should sleep by himself and I’m spoiling him and not helping him 😬

ok hear me out. I did the gentle sleep training at 4 months she did awesome for 2 months then decided I wake up now. Oh well guess we're back to what worked. I'm not stressing about this new trend. Shes not broken she's a baby who needs her mama. Social media has made babies to be robots and if they're not your doing it wrong. Just sad. mother's instinct is never wrong

I love bedsharing, contact napping and feeding to sleep and half of the first year is survival in my opinion, and those things make it easier! If I get fed up with any of them then I’ll learn how to change it ❤️

Sometimes I feel frustrated that the only way my 10 week old will nap is contact napping or in the car because I feel like I have no time to do anything but then I remember- this is what I’m supposed to be doing right now- providing and caring for my daughter and I won’t always have the opportunity to cuddle and have her nap on me and then suddenly being nap trapped isn’t so bad 🥰

I felt this visceral feeling inside me to pick baby up, keep baby close and comfort straight away. My family always in the beginning told me I was going to make my life hard. Life is going to be hard regardless - I have a baby. My baby doesn’t sleep well but I can tell you when she’s awake she is so social, friendly and happy. People always tell me she never cries and such a good baby. I know it’s her personality but I also believe it’s because I tend to her whenever she needs. I would always be close to my baby and I will never say no to that feeling inside me.

I contact nap with my 4 month old. It is not my best option because she won’t sleep with anyone else and it takes me forever to put her to sleep at night (she falls a sleep on me but they instantly wakes up when i put her on the crib). Also all my family and friends (even husband) tell me i’m doing it wrong. But she needs her sleep….

I’ve so quickly felt like I was doing something wrong because I was following his sleep cues instead of putting him on a nap schedule dictated by me or one of the popular ones online

My 5 month old has been held and nursed and rocked to sleep, never been left to cry… and is starting to fall asleep on his own all very organically now for naps at 5.5 months old. Everything is not that serious. Meet their needs, their needs will change.

I have an 8 month old and this couldn’t have come at a better time. We’ve been co sleeping most of the night, not the plan not what I wanted but it’s what works now whilst she’s EBF. I feel like everyone’s babies sleep 12 hours and I’m up every 3! I am everything to her and I know it won’t last forever. I have 6 year old twins to and they now sleep 12 hours a night after I thought they never would in the early years 😂😂

My husband and I were just talking about how we have done the “easy” thing for so long now with our girls. It has been the easiest thing but it has also been so good for our family! We are sleeping wonderfully! Daughters 6 and 3 sleep on floor beds in our room. Prior to this they would wake in the night in complete panic to get to us. Bedtime routine took hours and wake ups made it pointless. Now they sleep through the night and bed time is simple. Their baby sister safely co-sleeps with us in our king size bed. She wakes slightly a couple times in the night to nurse but we don’t get up. Everyone is happy and it just so happens to be what’s easiest 🎉

Everyone always talks about contact naps, but what about sling naps? My baby only naps in a stretchy sling. And by only I mean every single day time nap.

I used to care too much about what other babies were doing and when and how the moms did it... it stressed me out if my babyy was different... i have since let all that go and embraced my baby as N individual little human not a mass produced robot... i follow her cues all the way.... and let's face it, we all still want our mammas and i'm almost 40!!
