Did I blow it?? Me ex ended our 2+ year relationship a little over a month ago. The first 3 weeks I tried to give space but every few days I made attempts to get her to try again. And I did say something to the effect of “why are you throwing this away if you love me” …because she did tell me more than once that she loves me but she can’t try again. I also said I’d do anything to fix it. But I haven’t reached out in the past 9 days. I’m hoping no contact helps bring us back together while we work on ourselves individually. My question for you is did I ruin it with how I handled the first couple weeks?

maybe it is the case, she said during the breakup theres a lot of reasons including keeping us secret from her family, but space is space and i respect it

I think i did all the mistakes you just say in this video... She left me, i let her with the space she needs, for both of us, to rebuild myself to. Even if i have still hope, i'm getting better and do things to create a new life, no just wainting for her. I think a breakup in this kind of situation feel like a true ending

@Sarah Alder: 7 weeks ago my partner of 22years left me and our kids and moved bk into his mum ( plane flight away ) i was constantly txting and ringing every day and he was always so horrible and would say nasty things along with leave me alone. Obviously i didnt want to leave him alone because i want to fix or rebuild our relationship/family 22years is a long time to just throw away and give up well in my opinion. Im on day 2 of not reaching out and its painful i dont know what to do as i want to give him space but i dont want him to take that as ive gave up and he moves on 😫 help

First thing he asked was “am I expected to be celibate while you kick me out?” (Yes. The answer is yes, I expect you to not go out and date other people while “we” are trying to save our marriage!) Within 72 hours he had reached out to his female friend (about whom he has been having - and sharing with me - sexual fantasies for the last 6 years) for emotional support. Not sure he can come back from this.
