Crowley and Aziraphale would never have been able to be truly happy and at peace if humanity wasn't. they love humanity so much so much that they were finally able to find true happiness amongst it. this is the best way it could have ended, the only way❤️

You know what? I hated the ending at first but I understand it better now. God basically admitted that she had “given” Crowley to Aziraphale, implying that their love had emerged at least in part by her design. That goes against everything Crowley would have wanted as a believer that his love was the result of free will. Through God’s act of complete destruction, it was finally proven that their love had greater agency than even God. That it persisted, or emerged, in a reality of free will, and continued to in every universe (according to the credits), shows that it eventually broke free of God’s ineffable plan. And, being the seed of this new reality, their love is now simultaneously both the result of free will and an inevitability.
