@theashleymfox: Parents!! Do this & it will set your kids up forever. Life insurance is one of the most effective ways to ensure you’re leaving a financial legacy, but if your children are minors…life insurance won’t matter until they’re 18. They’re not old enough to receive the money or even open their own account, so the money will be held by the courts until they’re of age. Instead, save up money (it will cost a few thousand but it’s worth it) and open a trust. You’ll need an estate attorney to do this for you, but you can outline what needs to happen with the life insurance death benefit that is paid out. Save this post and share it with every parent you know. We were never taught this in school, but it is a simple tip you can implement for your family!
