Art school was such a fucked up experience for me. I went in with such a strong identity in my work and found myself trying to change my style to appease my teachers and the critics. I left thinking I sucked at art. Recently as I’ve been getting back into it I realized that my mistake was that I needed to lean into my unique style more and fully commit and say fuck it to conventions and what’s “right”.

I love how it looks like a still frame from some film school project. It's so simple in its basic visual impression but reading your comments with context on the piece, I love and connect/relate with it so much on a personal level! It's beautiful!
