get some 1" PVC and make a frame to go around the front and sides, just cut the insulation 45 degrees at the ends and used a 90 degree connector for the PVC pipes

We did this a few years ago to prevent our new kittens toys from constantly going under our couches. 😂

improve it by turning the couch over and using double sided tape to secure it to the underside... then it won't move easily and you'll still be able to adjust the sofa position.
