I stopped paying for prime. and y'all. if you're saying oh I still need to buy shit on Amazon and free shipping blah blah blah. you can still order and get free shipping without prime, there's just a $35 dollar threshold. that's it. save your money. if you really want to shop there still fine, but for fcks sake stop paying a fee on top of giving them profit

My old roommate got a job there, showed up for his first day of orientation and then was immediately fired for "not showing up to orientation" 🫠 Like he had everything on him you would get for showing up to prove he was there and they called to fire him AS HE WAS LEAVING THE PARKING LOT still blows my mind to this day

there also that class action against them for then making it hard to cancel prime. I tried 3 times convinced I got it each time, but turns out the real cancel button was a tiny blue link you had to scroll down to see after you had already clicked "cancel prime."

Also on the delivery end, people in their own cars are delivering for every major retailer, including Walmart. I’ve noticed that the same item on amazon has the same 2 day shipping as Walmart which also has the same shipping time as TikTok which is crazy

I don't pay for Prime. I add things to my cart and just don't click "Buy" until it adds up to over $35 for free shipping. Usually it takes about a month, sometimes two or three weeks.

If there were real stores locally that sold the things I need at a price I can afford, I would. If you complain about enough late stuff they sometimes refund your prime though… so complain to customer service EVERY TIME something is late.

The weirdest thing about Amazon is that a good 60+% of their customers wouldn’t even mind the parcel not coming the next day. Like I get it’s useful for emergencies but most of us only have prime cause of the other benefits and would general prefer the employees not be forced to drive over speed limits or work all day in wherehouses
