Outer Wilds is special beyond belief. It’s a once in a life time experience. Once you know what your doing, you can beat the game in about 15 minutes. But it takes 20-30 hours to earn that knowledge. It will change you, irrevocably, it will make you into a better person. If you struggle to get into it, be patient, it beckons you when you’re ready. Be sure to check your ship logs, take your time, truly bask in everything it has to offer. Also get the DLC, it’s arguably even more important than the base game. Go in blind, take your time, smell the pine trees, everyone who’s experienced this never regrets it. ::D

I don’t know if it’s ever possible to really contend with one’s mortality, but this game certainly helped me to process some of that anxiety, to see it through a different lens, and ultimately come to appreciate the time we have. In my pit of despair, it became an ember of empathy and hope for those who come after. For that, I am forever grateful.
