What I don’t understand is that Julian HAS used vocoder in the past in a way that sounds tasteful, like in Instant Crush and Life Is Simple In The Moonlight, so why can’t he do it tastefully anymore? Plus, is the use of vocoder the reason why The Strokes didn’t release new music for 6 years? Did the rest of the band have to cave in? It’s insane
