Probably most of us have wondered at some point during push-ups, “how much of my body weight am I actually lifting🤔?” Well, here’s the answer! @apfau As we know, there are many variations of push-ups with varying levels of difficulty. With the good ol' standard push-up, you’re lifting 64% of your body weight. Knee push-ups are obviously easier and you’ll be lifting 49% of your body weight with them. When you elevate your feet for decline push-ups, you’ll be increasing the level of difficulty. The higher the elevation, the more body weight you’ll be lifting and the more difficult it will be. It’s the opposite when you elevate your hands and do incline push-ups. Overall, this doesn’t really change anything about how you should view different variations of push-ups but I still think it’s cool to know.
