Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is the original marine conservation group founded by Paul Watson in 1977. Today, it is run by a larger international organization and works more closely with legal systems and governments. Paul Watson Foundation is the newer organization created by Paul Watson after leaving Sea Shepherd. It follows his original direct-action style more closely and focuses on aggressive anti-whaling and ocean protection campaigns.
