@2pacslegacyliveson: Tupac Shakur in the courtroom at Atlanta Municipal Court in Atlanta, Georgia on December 1, 1993 for shooting two drunk off-duty cops who were harassing a Black man in his car. The officers were intoxicated and, according to reports, initiated the confrontation by brandishing weapons, one of which was later discovered to have been stolen from a police evidence locker. Mark Whitwell was a police officer in Clayton County, and Scott Whitwell was a police officer in Henry County, both areas south of Atlanta. Witnesses testified that Tupac acted in self-defense after one of the officers fired at his car. Because evidence revealed the officers were heavily intoxicated, driving the situation while off-duty, and in possession of stolen firearms, all aggravated assault charges against Tupac were dropped.
