I didn’t see the main marked at the street no yellow marks on the street, 10,000 fine for operating a machine and not hand digging around the utility line and causing a leak they will probably have to pay for the loss of gas too 💯

I'm unclear who hit the gas. The notification I received didn't have a previous ticket number. In our area gas locates are rairly off. I also love when people say the locates were off. You go out and the lines are right on. People just don't know how to read the marks. I'm just glad no one was hurt

called in a locate one time and we was shown clear to dig,but I didn't trust it so I called the locator back out to the job and confirmed we hand dug and found a gas line and he said yep that's it. So as we was working with a Power Company Crew they backed there digger in and began to dig, as my crew prepared to set the 90ft concrete pole, 5 min later they hit a gas line 5 ft from marks and 7 ft down, just remember the marks are not always right
