No politician is perfect neither good, And surely not even close, I understand why some people admire Sankara’s vision for independence and social progress he caused the murder of hundreds of activists. I really struggle with the way he went about it The problem for me is that he used authoritarian methods to force his changes on the country. He bypassed the rule of law through those Revolutionary Tribunals which basically meant he could target, arrest, and suppress anyone who disagreed with him or challenged his policies, including labor unions and political opponents. Even if his intentions were to help the poor, it doesn't justify the climate of fear he created or the human rights violations that happened under his watch Calling someone who might've ruined people's life "Close to perfect" is not accurate, even if they have Other investments in good things
