I know….when my dad passed the church was packed. And I mean, packed!!!! I was only 16 but I remember thinking: where did all these people come from?!?! And, where have you been the last 16 years??? 🤔

I wondered that for a whole year after my husband died. Everyone who showed up at the funeral acted like they been showing up for him knowing he needed them, they all turned their backs. I was so upset. Took me a while to let it go a forgive them. I was there for him and that’s all that mattered. He has me still until the lord brings me back to him ❤️‍🩹🕊️🫂

My son‘s addiction pushed away a lot of people, but when he wasn’t an addict, he made many friends and they still showed up to his funeral and most of them even gave money for the funeral. Sometimes people grow apart sometimes people have their own problems in their own lives. That doesn’t allow them to hang out with other people or show up for other people, but I give them prompts for showing up to the funeral or even posting them after they died.

Exactly, i find this so difficult to understand. Mine was in a special hospital for nearly 3 years before passing and nobody came. When he was gone they then posted/talked about him so vividly to me, seems unsincere. Sending love ❤️‍🩹
