@doc4heart: I’m Dr. Michael Richman a double board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon. Despite what most people think, inflammation is not the triggering mechanism that causes the deposition of cholesterol plaque in the arterial wall leading to atherosclerosis(heart artery blockages) leading to a heart attack. In today’s video, I explain the evidence-based well-established science, that it is the lipoproteins “the cars” that are the initiators and subsequent inflammati occurs afterwards debunking the common myth on social media that everything is about inflammation. If you’re interested in a lipid consultation, you can go to my website at www.paladinmds.com #inflammation #heartattack #cardiovascularhealth #highcholesterol #heartdisease
Thank you for spending your time helping us understand how to live a longer healthy life. I have learned a lot watching your videos.

thank you so much for this information. inflammation is a huge concern for me. I have DM, SLE, PCOS and cardiac autonomic neuropathy (getting a 2nd opinion on the cardio). I will request my cars (Lp a/b)get tested. so far no plaque found in angiogram or blockage in stress tests.

New to your channel so apologies if you’ve already addressed, but would you say fish oil supplements are beneficial for improving cholesterol? I can’t stand eating fish

It's there a level of leanness of red meat that would make it safer, like poultry or fish? I like 93/7 beef but I can get leaner if needed

I have AVM's in my head....not my brain luckily...I have had to cut out 2 tumors that had been too big and the only thing that has helped me is blood pressure medication. it has slowed down the growth.
