If a hotel advertises that it accepts Visa and Mastercard, but then selectively rejects valid cards from issuers like Chime, that raises serious consumer-protection concerns. Restrictions like that should be clearly disclosed before booking, not sprung on customers at check-in.

I read through the comments, and the way some of you belittle people for using Chime is honestly wild. A banking choice doesn’t determine someone’s character, intelligence, or financial responsibility. If a hotel has a policy, fine….but the classist attitude in your comments is unnecessary.

I have a few banks, Navy Fed, Chime, SDCCU. However I still prefer Chime for some reason. Navy Fed is up there. I just love the perks Chime has to offer. Everything is simpler, less of a hassle. I hate that certain things like car rentals/hotels may not accept it. I think it's quite ridiculous but it is what it is. 🙄
