@dramapotter: 5 things no one told me about breastfeeding past 9 months: 1. Your milk supply naturally regulates over time — you won’t always feel overly full or leak constantly. Tbh, i never leaked & i never felt “full.” But baby never felt hungry 🤷🏼♀️🥹 2. Babies become way more distracted while nursing as they get older…& real food becomes one of those distractions 😂 baby boy can eat! 3. Teething can affect nursing habits and sometimes make feeds uncomfortable. He definitely still needs the boob for comfort though 🥹 4. Your calorie, hydration, and sleep needs still matter months later. @BOSS is making me lactation cookies this week bc i feel like my supply is struggling 💕 5. Breastfeeding past infancy still provides comfort, hydration, nutrients, and immune support for your baby. He needs mama’s milk & i love that for him 🩵 I feel like most breastfeeding conversations focus on the newborn stage, but feeding beyond the first few months comes with a whole different set of changes no one really talks about.
