@simplychickensofficial: All my tips to raise friendly chicks! 🐥👇🏼 • Biggest tip- hand feed mealworms! Chickens are very food driven, my fav brand is linked in my bio 🪱 • Talk to them often so they get used to your voice & everyday sounds • Gently handle them daily • Announce yourself before approaching the brooder so you don’t startle them • Raise chicks in smaller groups (6–8) if your main goal is friendly birds • Don’t reach over/above them- greet & pick them up at their level • Brooder setup matters! Avoid troughs, tubs, or any setup with only top access. I use the Big Red Barn with sliding doors, linked in my bio 🐥 Important note: treats should always be fed in moderation, and your chicks should be offered free-choice chick grit to aid in digestion. #friendly #babychicks #tips #chickensoftiktok #chickens

there are chickens that started coming around by us about 2 or 3yrs now, and the older ones run and come to meet my daughter from no where because she talks to them and feeds them, ♥️♥️

We raised meat birds and I never understood why they would flip out and climb the walls when we would feed them? Even had one attack our legs. I mean we are coming in with food! But layer hens were much more friendly. 😁
