As a mom, going to a restaurant on any holiday sounds like a nightmare. I always celebrate at home then maybe do an outing a few days later for basically anything. I’m more of a be at the restaurant by 4:30pm so it isn’t crowded and we leave before the dinner rush hits kinda gal 😂

I worked Mother’s Day as always and it was a lot of crazy and as my tables wished me a happy Mother’s Day back, I said thank you…while my son would’ve been 30 this year (I lost him at birth) and people asking if I have kids before saying anything to me…so I lie and say no. Hardest day of the year for me but made it thru another one 😳👍🏻

As someone struggling with fertility, I don’t say it to literally anyone. I never assume, even if it’s blatantly obvious. You never know how it’s gonna hit someone. I know that’s dramatic to some, but it’s just me.

honestly, I have three children and I don't really put that much on mother's Day. it's a Hallmark holiday and if my kids are busy it's okay because guess what? they could show their love for me any other day of the year, not just because the calendar tells them to. maybe I'm weird
