@allurachanel: Replying to @sumeyyasfleurdelis There is no reconciling it for me. Allah doesn’t require my dishonesty about what the system does to women. I used to do the work of reinterpreting verses, contextualizing fiqh, finding feminist readings where none existed. eventually I couldn’t keep doing it without lying to myself. I kept my belief in Allah but I have let go of the framework that required me to call women’s subjugation a gift. #fyp #muslimah #patriarchy #muslimtiktok #religioustrauma
Can you tell me what verses are misogynistic? I’m trying to go through the verses one by one so I can see it for myself instead of listening to what others think it means. I’m trying to find problematic parts or whether it’s all false interpretations of the verses.

Hey love, I can understand rejecting Islam as an organised religion ( because it was built by men for men). But do you still have a spiritual relationship with the Qur’an disregarding any interpretation, frameworks, concepts etc?just wondering if you still consider yourself spiritual if not religious. No judgement just curiousity! 🥰

Love your content. A question. Do you believe Islam/spirituality would be better in individuality rather than organised religion? (Per what you mentioned in this video?)

Outside of the traditional patriarchal parts, I find Islam to be a deeply safe and logical space. There is a profound spiritual resonance in the experience like the immediate calm that comes from listening to the Quran, or the way prayer can act as an anchor when life feels heavy and I feel disconnected from reality. Beyond just feelings, I’m also drawn to what I see as the objective truth of the religion. To me, the linguistic miracle of the Quran and its documented prophecies feel irrefutable. I’ve looked into the 'deconstructions' from critics, but I haven’t found a logical argument that actually sticks; the text is just too perfectly preserved and structured. Even the practical commandments, like fasting and charity, clearly benefit the soul and the community. I also notice a striking overlap between Islamic values, like practicing gratitude and Tawakkul (trust in God) and the same principles that non-Muslim psychologists use today to treat burnout and anxiety. Anyways im yapping lol but i guess my question would be do you feel like the modern "feminist" interpretations of Islam are just sugarcoating the true roots of the religion or they have a real basis despite the fact there is questionable things within the scripture or within the actions of the prophet or sahaba

no girl REAL. to still believe in Islam after deconstructing means lying to yourself about the feminist parts! and some ppl are okay with that. they lie to themselves and to others. I personally am leaning more towards atheism cz I genuinely believe there in fact is no “god” out there watching over us😭yes everything is by chance. and there is definitely an explanation behind.

I’m so happy you came across my fyp. You are right about this, and so much more concerning Islam. I was born and raised Muslim but didn’t fully begin questioning what I was raised upon and my beliefs a few years ago. I want able to be fully objective in deconstructing the whys behind things in Islam, until I admitted that indeed I need to be honest about the fact that it DOES seem patriarchal and most interpretations reflect it. You need to remove yourself and your ties to Islam from the equation and then objectively assess it, to truly seek the answers you are hoping to find.
