@overthinking.out.loud26: I love the “sunflower theory” when it comes to mental health and healing. 🌻 Sunflowers naturally turn toward the sun while they grow. And honestly, healing kind of works like that too. After hard things—trauma, anxiety, grief, burnout, heartbreak—it’s easy to get stuck in survival mode. Your brain starts expecting danger everywhere. You overthink, shut down, isolate, or just feel exhausted all the time. Healing usually isn’t one huge life-changing moment. Most of the time, it’s smaller than that. It’s going to therapy. Taking your meds. Getting out of bed anyway. Texting someone back. Letting yourself rest without feeling guilty. Learning that not every thought your brain gives you is true. Little by little, you start turning back toward things that make you feel safe, grounded, hopeful, or alive again. And the thing I love most about sunflowers? Even when the sun is hidden behind clouds, they still know which direction to face. Sometimes healing is just that— holding onto the possibility of light before you can fully feel it again. 🌻 #MentalHealth #mentalhealthmatters #MentalHealthAwareness #sunflower #recoveryispossible
