Sleep tips that have tremendously improved my sleep: 0. Stop all caffeine by noon. 0. Stop eating 3 hours before bed. Eating close to bedtime spikes your blood sugar. When it drops, your body releases cortisol to correct it, and that cortisol is what wakes you up. If you wake up at 2 or 3 AM for no reason, this could be why. This changed the game for me! 0. No phone in the bedroom. Blue light inhibits melatonin release, the hormone that tells your body to go to sleep. The mental stimulation also doesn’t help.
