Don’t get my wrong I like Home Depot but ever since I transferred to a bad new location… it took a turn. Most of the managers make me feel so unappreciated and I’ve told them to schedule me certain times because I go to school, but they keep scheduling me however they want. Today i literally told them if there’s a way I can go ahead and transfer back to my original store because this is horrible and the girl told me I would have to speak to the managers which I know they are not gonna want me to leave because I know customer service, self checkout, pro, and overnight, and I’m the only one that has multiple trainings☹️

Working for the FDC in Baltimore was the only time I worked with a crew of people that were tight knit and felt like a family. Upper management higher than the shift supervisor was absolute hell but everyone underneath was amazing.

Pay is definitely too low (and what they market as competitive… it’s not) for the amount of work they expect out of you… HD has definitely went to more of a micromanagement atmosphere, including how your raises are based on, making it impossible to get the full raise now… which isn’t standard across the full team I’ve experienced… and every minute being accounted for in some sort of system. It used to not be that way. I’m 4 1/2 years in… wanna taste what it’s like to have three weeks of vacation for the first time in my life ever next year… after that I might navigate to something else that doesn’t drain the life out me.
