Japan needs to promote their tourism in other areas in cities other than Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka

The tourism « issue » is the sole results of governmental efforts in promoting it post Covid (and keep doing so). Tourism is the only thing positive currently supporting Japanese economy : litterally everything else is crashing and they don’t even realize it. Some of the very primitive (borderline racist) reaction concerning non-Japanese visitor manners in general will just feed even more the current stupid decision towards foreign talents acquisition and interantional openness. It’s a vicious circle of pure stupidity, leading to Japan becoming a 3rd world country relying on tourism like Thailand. The number of Japanese national not even aware of how the world works outside of Japan and only 10percent of Japanese having ever stepped out of Japan is scary for foreign national living in Japan right now…

Japanese people are so wildly ignorant of their own circumstance it's insane. their economy is in shambles because of the ldp and takaichi and tourism is basically the only thing keeping them afloat. their population is crashing so fast they can't support themselves domestically or through trade. between policies making it harder to immigrate and the rise in anti tourist sentiment they're totally screwed
