We see this at work many times - it’s one of my biggest criticisms of the system. No surprises act unfortunately doesn’t cover ground ambulances, only air. You can’t choose your ambulance provider when you’re having an emergency, and it’s completely ridiculous that a majority of ambulance companies remain out of network. Steve, if I can help interpret any of the insurance talk, just send me a message. 🩵

As a silent watcher, from someone who is in Scotland, this is heartbreaking. All ambulance services and hospitals/doctor etc are free. I’m so sorry you’re going through this, Steve🤍🩷

Insurance is so insane. My chemo company called me yesterday and said my pharmacy benefits had been terminated and I got a new plan. Literally not at all, I’m in the middle of my plan. Somehow pharmacy benefits just got cancelled. I hate it so much. 🤯

So do the insurance companies give you a list of ambulance companies, doctors, dentists,hospitals etc that the insurance will deal with. If so do the insurance companies also get money from those organisations for sending sick people their way.

I’m going thru this exact thing for an ambulance for my newborn son who was born with a heart condition and needed transported to a NICU two hours away. It’s so frustrating and should be totally illegal! I’m so sorry you’re going thru this too!
