@🇨🇺marco🇷🇺: Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, known asá, was born in Brazil in 1982. As a boy he joined São Paulo's youth team and at the age of 18 he was almost paralyzed by an accident in a swimming pool, but recovered and made his professional debut in 2001.
He quickly stood out for his speed and vision. In São Paulo he was champion and Golden Shoe of the Brasileirão in 2002, and that led him to AC Milan in 2003. In Italy he became a world star. He won Serie A in his first year and in 2007 he led Milan to win the Champions League, being the scorer and the best player of the tournament. That same year he won the Club World Cup and was voted the best in the world: he took the Ballon d'Or, the FIFA World Player and the FIFPro award. He was the last to win it before the of Messi and Cristiano began.
In 2009, Real Madrid signed him for 65 million euros, but knee injuries and pubalgia did not allow him to have continuity. He still played with Cristiano and Benzema and left good moments, such as his goal in the Camp Nou Clasico.
In 2013 he returned to Milan for free, spent some time on loan at São Paulo and finished his career with Orlando City of the MLS, retiring in 2017.
With the Brazilian national team he was World Champion in 2002 and won two Confederations Cups in 2005 and 2009, being Ballon d'Or in 2009. In total he played 82 games for Brazil and scored 27 goals.
He was always remembered as an elegant, fast playmaker with a goal and a very calm attitude on and off the field.
