the last thing he saw on earth was a rainbow, but he still got to see all the colors in space. something about that is so beautiful to me. he really did make space his home.

This movie made me realise something. On Earth Grace was alone, he had no one. But in space? Light years away from home, he had found his platonic soulmate. So it doesn't matter how far away from home we are, we can still find people that will care, appreciate and love us.

I saw someone say that all the Eridians on Rocky’s ship died from radiation. Something humans have become adept at protecting against. All the humans on the Hail Mary died in their sleep. This would likely have been prevented if someone was there to watch them sleep. That is something the Eridians do off instinct. The only missing component to the survival of the entire crew of both the Blip-A and the Hail Mary was the other species.
