What if people are BOTH good and bad, light and shadow, beautiful and ugly? What if it’s just way more layered than two sides to an issue? What if we’re experiencing the fractals of human experience? What if someone else could have a different perspective and even reality than you… And it would all be okay? Because we’re not meant to see things, the exact same way as someone else does because of our own lived experience, our own values and our own beliefs and wounds and traumas, we’re all different. We want different things. We all have our blindspots or aspects where we become less compassionate and more rigid, unable to see the whole, balanced picture. I have a challenge for you, next time you’re on social media or anywhere online and there’s a comment thread, where the post is talking about one thing one side of things, I want you to notice where people show up and attack, insult, or invalidate that perspective and reality. Then I want you to ask yourself, is it possible for there to be space for it to be more complex? For both sides to have points for both things to be true for different people? And then I want to hear what you see and what you think? Can it be okay to hold space for all of it? To not know? To potentially be wrong? To potentially be so right? But all at once? It’s truly fascinating to watch the peanut gallery, or the council of apes, people who are just so certain they know it all. What’s that certainty protecting? And does their righteousness leave room for anyone else? Does their rigidity and fundamentalism actually serve anyone or does it just divide us all further? I’m not certain I know the answer to all of this but I like to keep an open mind. #p#polarityt#truthseekert#takingsidesp#polarizedb#battleoftheegost#thetruthisouttheret#thetruthp#perspectivesu#unknownperspectivesn#newperspectivesd#differentperspectived#differentperspectivesh#harmonyd#divisionf#fractalsh#humanconsciousnessl#limitedperspectivefundamentalism
