From a somewhat similar perspective I did my bachelor collection based on shared parts of clothes. Where the garments would split and you could exchange them with friends. The idea was to carry a memory with you and a reminder that you might be apart but not out of mind.

I think this is the reason why certain pieces created that are considered vintage seem so timeless. I feel like people had a very rich inner world. For instance, I truly enjoy homes that were built hundreds of years ago that have interesting nooks and crannies and secret passage ways. Thoughtful is the word that I can think of.

The idea of trying to capture your subconscious pull is genius. Only for the user - I think of a softly lined coat pocket or the word “sunshine” printed on the sole of a shoe.

This reminds me of the armor of King Théoden, created for The Lord of the Rings film trilogy by Weta Workshop. It features intricate, hidden details on its inner surfaces, including a golden sun emblem and hand-engraved sun motifs. So the actor could feel it, and know it’s there, but it’s hidden from the viewer.
