Wow! A school district, CPS program, and police officers who actually follow through and help the kids. This is why I became a counselor, but unfortunately, the students I try to help in these situations never get any help. I love seeing a system work.

my 1.5 year old spilled something and started to cry and I held her shoulders and was like 1st of all why are you crying over a spill? its not worth it. 2nd of all why dont we just get a towel and clean this up? and she stopped crying and we got a towel and she helped me wipe it up. its a spill and she's a kid. Kids spill stuff all the time........like geez. im glad that Lil girl told her the truth!!!

As a resource teacher I was a mandatory reporter and would report anyway if I wasn’t and it was mind blowing how many calls I made in my first 2 years working in a Prek building.

my 8 yr old says "silly mom.. its okay" or "uh oh spaghetio" when I spill or have an accident... lol he is a sweetheart. I'm a cluts and he's just like me... gotta laugh at ourselves and just clean it up. those poor kids. im so sorry.
