Hi, Sunny! Thanks for this video. I've been a viewer of yours for a while. However, as a chemistry student myself, I can't help it but say that what you said is actually a myth and a common misconception between physical and chemical sunscreens. Both actually work the same way, mineral sunscreens work by absorbing UV and converting it to heat, similar to chemical sunscreens. It's also untrue that mineral sunscreen work better than chemical sunscreens in terms of people with melasma or in providing better protection overall. DW as a lot of people still get confused about it. You might want to check out the videos of Dr. Michelle Wong, she is a Science educator (she talks a lot about skincare myths and actually knows how to interpret research data). She holds a PhD in medicinal and supramolecular chemistry. Chemical sunscreen doesn’t penetrate your skin. My gosh. Please avoid sharing false infos. Chemical and physical sunscreen both forms a film layer ON your skin. The mechanism is just different.
