@winnieschoolofexcellence: A lot of people know how to make good impressions. But not everyone knows how to consistently communicate with kindness behind closed doors. And honestly? That matters more. Because strangers may remember your politeness for a moment…but your family experiences your tone repeatedly. That’s why emotionally intelligent communication is not just a public skill, It is a private discipline. The people closest to you should not constantly receive the version of you that is emotionally exhausted, reactive, harsh, or careless with words. This is one of the many transformational principles explored deeply inside the Graceful Communication Handbook. A practical guide designed to help you communicate with: clarity, grace, confidence, emotional intelligence, and composure, especially in the relationships that matter most. ToluPhilips :
This recently happened to me. Someone helped me and I was so quick to appreciate them. I even followed up with them the following day.
My Dad helped me with something a few days later and I was not as appreciative as I was with the other person. But something drew my attention to my attitude in comparison with the initial scenario. I adjusted immediately.
Familiarity does a number on us with people closest to us. We need to be intentional about our relationship with people closest to us.

wonderful, people will give respect to those they value and even change their tone when talking to them but to their spouses or relatives they speak the way they want, i call it disrespect
