@bellethelawyer: ‼️ Let me give you the legal tea direct from the Secretary of State ❌ #TenantRights #rentersrightsact #LandlordUK #RentingUK #RentersReform
It's not fair rights to the landlord to have to have to pay 4 months mortgage if the tenants doesn't pay. The govenment should give landlord more security. Rents have been increasing due to this new legislation.

my landlord is selling and we had viewings since march, but they didn't serve notice yet. I think they are waiting for me to tell them I'm moving, which I'm not gonna do. they have to serve me notice

What a load of BS, Think about this it’s really about mankind more money for the lawyers and courts. The worst bit of legislation for both tenants and landlords. Rents will go up and it’s going to get a lot harder to rent which is just not fair for good tenants 🤔

I’m not wrapped in the periodic tendency part , at least with 12 months fixed we had several months peace , now we don’t have that. We can be given notice any time with just 2 months notice . No 12 months buffer .

Yes and if a section 8 is served it will have to be mentioned on a tenant reference, which does not look good when a tenant is looking to rent again.

If a landlord wanted the property back for a relative to live in, how long would the relative need to live in it before they could “change their mind” and the landlord could put the property back on the rental market? Asking for a friend 😬

Brilliant reform - like the gentleman said, it doesn’t affect good landlords. Only the rogue landlords that abuse the system and use s21 to evict good tenants, and hike the rents up. Protects against those rogue landlords that abuse the system. The gravy train is over for landlords to do what they like.
