Honest to god, I’d get rid of the couch and replace it with a loveseat against the wall angled toward the tv. It’ll free up a lot of walking space and space for your barstools. With your bed in there, you won’t be needing much extra seating.

Idk if I’m dumb but it’s crazy to me that no one’s suggested making the loft like your tv/ living room. Bunch of blankets and you could have half of it for storage too. That way you have your bed, clothes, and dinning room downstairs

I know this isn’t the point but girl if you see this, I quit my job and moved states just so my old husky girl could have a back yard again. Ppl who haven’t had an aging pet don’t understand how it changes our decision making processes about everything. Wishing you joy as you settle into your new space!
